Kirk’s Garden Room Success Story: Home Office, Games Room, and Storage All-in-One

One of our recent customers, Kirk, was looking for the perfect solution to create a multifunctional space that could serve as a home office, games room, and additional storage. He wanted to finish off his beautiful garden and complement his hot tub and outdoor dining area, while also ensuring his garden remained clutter-free.

We worked closely with Kirk to design a garden room that met all his requirements, resulting in a stunning 5.4m x 3m Abri Garden Room that not only serves as a stylish and functional home office but also provides space for relaxation and even has a bed for his dog. Kirk’s garden room now beautifully complements his garden and outdoor entertainment area, offering the perfect balance between work and leisure.

Here’s how we customized Kirk’s Garden Room:

• Stylish Cladding: We used ToughWood cladding with a Cedar finish to blend seamlessly with his existing garden style features.
• Maximized Storage: To keep the garden clutter-free, we added a storage section to the design. The garden room features a solid 800mm door to this additional storage space, which is white inside and Anthracite externally.
• Optimal Lighting: It’s important when designing a home office to strike a good balance between natural and artificial lighting. For Kirk’s room, we installed a full-length 600mm picture window on the side and a stunning 2.4m bi-fold door, allowing natural light to flood the space and connect the inside with the outside. Three downlighters were installed in the Abri overhang for visibility in all seasons and weather conditions, as well as dimmable LED spotlights inside.
• Practical Electrical Setup: We installed four double plug sockets in the office space and one in the storage section, ensuring Kirk has power wherever he needs it. These sockets were placed in the corners of the office area for ease of use, no matter where he is in the room.
• Year-Round Comfort: A wall heater was installed on the back wall, making the room usable all year round, no matter the weather.

Internally, the garden room was finished with wood panelling, painted with two coats of white emulsion, and features beautiful laminate flooring, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Our customers Tim & Jackie were looking for a large entertaining space for chilling out and creating a home cinema to enjoy with family & friends. Complete with kitchenette, and cloakroom this amazing space can also be used as a Guestroom so it is a completely multifunctional Garden Room. 

We gave them plenty of natural light with full length windows and large sliding doors. The low maintenance cladding in ‘Granite’ gives this Garden Room a modern look. To keep it nice and cosy 365 days a year our customer also opted for electric underfloor heating with timer and thermostat as well as a black wall mounted panel heater.
