Creative Writing Space
Andrea was wanting a creative writing space away from her office overlooking lots of traffic. So we built her a 4.2m x 3.2m garden studio with an overhang, and Crittal-style doors and windows, giving the space a modern, minimalist feel and beautiful views out to the garden. We used ‘shou sugi ban’ (the Japanese technique of charring wood) on the front cladding and canopy, which resulted in a reflective, textured surface.
Andrea finds the new space so much better and absolutely loves it, she’s really pleased with her investment and loves writing in her new space.
