Luke & Zoe have 2 young children and wanted to make more of their garden as well as create a tranquil space for freelancer Luke to work from.

We designed and built them a large 5.4m x 3.2m garden studio and landscaped their garden into zones providing lawn space for the children to run around on as well as patio sections for them to entertain with their friends. The landscaped pergola and patio complement their garden studio beautifully tying it all together.

The large studio, as well as proving a peaceful and quiet workspace for Luke to concentrate in, also provides enough space for gym equipment for working out after work. We also installed a kitchenette area with a Belfast sink unit with shaker-style door and 600mm solid engineered oak worktop (Carcass painted in
Farrow & Ball ‘Railings’). The studio also has a separate bathroom with matt black features from electric shower and bi-fold shower door to electric towel rail. The shower also features a slate effect shower tray & nuance Carrara Marble interior panelling inside the shower
and as a splashback for the sink.  The sink unit and toilet is in Bermuda graphite grey. To enable light but also provide privacy in there is also a 600 x 600 uPVC obscure glass.

The studio has 4.2m wide aluminium 5-pane bi-fold doors and  1.2m wide x 800mm high uPVC top hung window on the right of the studio allowing plenty of natural light to fill the studio.

The front of the studio is clad in Shou Sugi Ban and for extra protection and durability the sides are clad in our exclusive ToughWood in ‘Granite’

For the studio to be used efficiently as a garden office retreat we installed 4 double plug sockets, 8 recessed LED ceiling spotlights and installed a Cat 5 internet cable from the router in the house to  the studio.

Externally for evening use and for ambient summer lighting we installed 3 recessed LED’s in the roof overhang too creating stylish night lighting.

Luke & Zoe are extremely chuffed with their new space. Check out what they think of their garden studio in the video below…
