Our customer Kirk was looking for the perfect solution for a home office, games room and more storage to finish off his beautiful garden and complement his hot tub and outdoor dinning area. He maximised the use of his garden room by adding a storage section on design to ensure his garden was clutter free, whilst still keeping all those bits and bobs handy to use when needed.
His Home Office & Games Garden Room is a 5.4m x 3m which has complemented his garden and outdoor dinning & entertainment area perfectly. The Abri garden room is stylish, functional and meets all his requirements with even a bed for the dog. We installed 3 down lighters in the Abri overhang, to ensure maximum visibility across all seasons and in all weather conditions.
Externally it is cladded in ToughWood and with the Cedar finish to match their existing garden style features.
It’s important when designing a home office that you strike a good balance between natural and artificial lighting that will cater for using your garden room all year round. To allow sufficient lighting, we installed a full length 600mm picture window on the side and a stunning 2.4m Bi-fold door that will connect the inside to the outside of his garden beautifully. Also features a solid 800mm door to his additional storage space, that are white inside and Anthracite colour externally.
Internally we installed dimmable LED spotlights that aligned to the external outdoor spots in the overhang. And 4 double plug sockets in the office space and a further 1 in the storage section. They were all situated in or near the corners in the office area for ease of use no matter where you are in the room. For this room we have also installed a wall heater for use all year round located on the back wall.
The Garden Room was then finished with wood panelling, painted with two coats of white emulsion and features a beautiful laminate flooring to finish.
