Emma and Frazer wanted a well-insulated, good-looking studio built in their garden from which they can work from home comfortably. The office is clad in Shou Sugi Ban charred timber, and is 4.2m x 3.2m with 1.8m French doors on the front and large double windows to the side. The studio has underfloor heating and integral blinds, creating a cosy space to work during the winter months. We also constructed a large pergola to the front of the studio across the back of the garden, and a reclaimed brickwork patio which Emma and Frazer plan to use as an outdoor kitchen area when the sun comes out again.
