Having recently moved back home to support and care for her mother, Gemma was looking for a garden studio which she could use as an office retreat.
We designed and built her a 2 x 3m Astana with clean lines, featuring 1.8 French doors which were upgraded to include 400mm side windows to flood the compact space with lots of natural light.
The studio was clad in ToughWood ‘Cedar’ giving it a natural look but providing durability, long life and ensuring virtually no maintenance is required. The roof trimmings, windows and doors are anthracite in colour giving a stylish and modern look.
So Gemma could use the office all year around the study features a electric underfloor heating with a digital thermostat.
So the studio could be used as a fully functional office space for work we installed 4 double plug sockets to enable office equipment as well as a cat 5 internet cable and socket, running from the studio to the router in the house.
We also installed a stylish exterior up/down lighter on the outside of the garden room for evening and night-time use.
The studio has given Gemma the peace and quiet and space of her own which she wanted and provided a much better work life balance.
