Alex and Adrian asked us to build an office in the unused space at the top of their garden in Steyning. To create a solid foundation, we constructed a cantilevered frame on which to build the studio. The studio measures 3.1m x 2.5m, and has 1.8m wide French uPvc doors leading onto the hardwood deck, and a full height window at right angles to the doors. Natural light is crucial for Alex, so we positioned a wide picture window at the perfect height to give her a view down the garden from her desk.
The experience was seamless from initial online enquiry, to Grant visiting the site, the design discussion, the drawings and the build itself. The team listened and took on board what we wished to achieve and delivered according to specs agreed and went the extra mile, including relocating plants that were in the way of our beautiful new studio build. We were very impressed with the quality of finish and were excited to see the volume of insulation installed, which we know will ensure the studio is truly usable for 12 months of the year.
