Unique construction

All our garden studios have natural soundproofing because of the layered building insulation we use. The floor, walls and roof are constructed using structurally insulated panels (SIPs) which offer highly efficient thermal values and exceptional strength. The wall thickness is 100mm (subject to cladding type), so our garden music rooms maintain a comfortable temperature all year round, with good soundproofing. Due to the structural make-up of our buildings, they perform extremely well in terms of sound absorption and soundproofing. The layered structure and differing densities of each SIP panel, block out a wide spectrum of noise.

Acoustic plasterboard

Internally we add soundproof plasterboard, which significantly reduces the amount of sound heard from the garden rooms.

Dense cladding 

We clad our studios in ToughWood™, which is an engineered wood manufactured from wood strands compressed under extremely high pressure and bonded together to create an ultra-tough, dense and stable cladding which has good soundproofing properties.

Acoustic panelling

We can install wood slat decorative wall and ceiling panels which not only have the added advantage of boasting sound absorption but can transform your space decoratively in a stylish contemporary way.

Sedum roof

Our Sedum roofs add a layer of 50-100mm of soil on top of the roof massively reducing noise levels from inside and out for an even more sound insulated garden room! The sedum roof also provides a haven for bees & butterflies.

Multiple plug points

We provide a seamless build from start to finish, taking care of any music studio lighting and electrical features as part of the process. Our garden buildings are fully-wired as standard with LED spotlights, multiple plug points and floor sockets, so you have the flexibility to move equipment around if you want to.
